Have you wanted to wow your friends and family with mouth watering photos of dishes you have made or are enjoying?  Do you wish that the food pictures you take came out more appetizing?

Join us for a fantastic ladies-only evening at the Jersey Girl Cafe!

On Monday, February 27, we will be hosting a lovely dinner and you will learn how to take great photos of food using your smart phone.

Our dinner buffet starts at 7:00 pm sharp.

Our menu

  • Tuscan White Bean and Organic Spinach Salad with Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette (gluten free, vegan)
  • Lemon-Garlic Chicken Breast (gluten free)
  • Roasted Butternut Squash Pasta (vegetarian)
  • Roasted Seasonal Vegetables (gluten free, vegan)
  • Iced Tea, Coffee, Tea
  • Chocolate - Raspberry Tart

At around 8 pm, we move on to the creative part of the evening where you and your friends learn how to take great "food porn" pictures, and get to practice on some special dishes made just for the evening.

Profssional photographer, Tammy Anne Duffy, of Duffy Photography, will be our instructor for this fun and educational evening.

Nothing hits the spot like a bowl of hot soup on a cold day.

Join us for this hands-on class as we prepare a variety of easy to make soups that will warm you and your family on a cold winter's night.

Soups on the menu:

  • White Bean and Tomato
  • Butternut Squash and Apple Bisque
  • Tomato, Quinoa, Kale, with Chicken
  • Buffalo Chicken

We will also review the basics of soup making, including preparing mirepoix, cooking a roux, and using non-gluten based thickeners.

At the end of the class we will sit down and enjoy a tasting of our soups together.  Containers will be provided to take home your favorites.

From how to deliver feedback to resolving conflict to improving organizational clarity, Rip will provide valuable insights and techniques to help you improve your leadership skills.

About Rip

Rip is the practice leader for Makarios Consulting’s strategy and execution practices and is actively engaged in coaching leaders in business, higher education, and in the non-profit arena. He and his business partner, Tim Thomas, are the authors of the recently released book: Leading on Purpose – Sage Advice and Practical Tools for Becoming the Complete Leader.

Rip is also a project faculty member at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he works with MBA students on international strategy and marketing projects.

Passionate about community service, Rip served for 11 years as the President of the Berwyn, PA, fire company and for two years as Chair of the Board of the YMCA of the Upper Main Line. He is now a board member of the newly merged YMCA of the Greater Brandywine, Treasurer of the Board of the MidAtlantic Employers Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of Andesa Services. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in 1975 and his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1982.
