Are you a culinary entrepreneur ready to break into the exciting field of hand crafted, artisanal, gourmet, or specialty foods, but need a commercial kitchen to prepare them?

Jersey Girl Cafe might be able to help you out.

Commissary Kitchen Agreement: Jersey Girl Cafe is able to support food businesses needing a commissary for prep, clean-up or waste disposal.

  • $350 annual fee.

  • electronic copies of the Retail Food Establishment License and Health Department Reports will be provided for the year(s) covered by the commissary kitchen agreement

  • completion of the Commissary Kitchen section of any applications for events or off-site locations

  • Required Documentation:

    • $1M liability insurance

    • Current Safe Food Handler (ServSafe) certification

    • Federal EIN letter (from IRS)

    • NJ Certificate of Authority (authorizes your business to collect NJ sales tax)

Kitchen Use: The Cafe kitchen is available for rental after operating hours:

  • Tuesday - Friday - after 8:30pm

  • Saturday & Sunday - after 4:30pm

  • Advance reservation of the kitchen is required

  • Paid Commissary Kitchen Agreement

  • Registration with Hamilton Township Health Department

  • $250 security deposit

  • Completed rental agreement

  • Rate: $100 for up to 4 hours, $25/hour for additional time

Available Equipment:

  • 6 burner stove, flat top grill, double oven, 2 deep fryer, convection oven

  • commercial countertop Hobart mixer

  • work tables, baking sheets

  • walk in refrigerator to chill product

Not included:

  • no overnight use of walk-in refrigerator, freezer, nor dry storage

  • no overnight parking

  • no use of disposables (e.g. parchment paper, food containers)

  • no use of cafe food products or small wares
